The case: Breast cancer patient Elena (27, two children) from Extertal (North Rhine-Westphalia) asked Techniker Krankenkasse to have her second, healthy breast removed and rebuilt as a precautionary measure. The case: Daniela May (39, office clerk) from Berlin received mail from the employment agency’s debt collection service. As heiress, she was supposed to repay 1854 euros overpaid benefits that her recently deceased uncle received. She hardly knew him, and had also turned down the inheritance.
